Read manga The Wild Rose Embraces the Frost / 野茨は霜を抱 Liberte, the daughter most beloved by the previous emperor. Everyone thought she would be the next to ascend the throne, but after her father’s death, her younger brother became the emperor instead. Through the machinations of a minister who manipulated her brother, Liberte was forced to leave the imperial palace. She was ordered to marry the Grand Duke of Nord, a region in the north. On her journey, she fends off attackers aiming for her bridal dowry and eventually arrives safely in the north. The northern part of the empire was a place where only legends and rumors circulated: “the war with monsters never ends,” and “the cold air from dragons freezes the land.” Nord, which took three months to reach, was different from the legends and rumors, but it was certainly a magical land. There, she met the kind and true Grand Duke, Yulaha. He respected Liberte’s feelings and said he would postpone the marriage if she didn’t wish to proceed.
