Laria is a white‑fox beastkin who’s long been branded an outcast among her own kind, unable to take on a human form. At last, she succeeds—transforming into an adorable little fox with pure white, fluffy ears. Her triumph is short‑lived, however: trapped in that form and unable to change back, she’s kidnapped by Xenox Klaseum, a black‑wolf beastkin. Though she eventually manages to escape, three years pass. Then, by order of the crown prince, Laria is compelled into an arranged marriage meeting with a stranger. Reluctantly she goes…only to find sitting across from her none other than Xenox Klaseum himself, the very one who once abducted her!
