Suddenly appearing in the class of Hayato Makabe—a dirt-poor, friendless, rock-bottom high school student—is Myakuzuka, a man in a white coat. When they put on the distributed contact lenses, the "number of friends" floats above each student's head—. "After 24 hours, the person with the lowest number will die." The government-run "Friend Severance and Connection Project" (友達切続プロジェクト - Tomodachi Setsuzoku Project ) now begins. Deceit, betrayal, subjugation, and friendship. A death game "Class" where human relationships determine life or death. Are "friends" shackles to be cast aside, or are they the hope that saves your life? Splattering brains, true natures exposed. Will Hayato truly be able to escape this hell—!?
