The protagonist, Joe Shimamura, was confined in a juvenile detention center. He and his fellow inmates attempted to escape, but during their attempt, they were captured by a suspicious group dressed in black suits (the Black Ghost Organization). After losing consciousness, Joe awoke to find himself restrained on an operating table. Standing beside him was a man wearing a creepy mask, who introduced himself as Skull. Skull ominously declared, "The next time you wake up, you'll be a cyborg." What was happening to Joe? The nine cyborg warriors, each equipped with their own powerful skills, take on evil forces and dominate their enemies! Shotaro Ishinomori's classic Cyborg 009 makes its highly anticipated debut as a full-color vertical comic!
