A former saint candidate is framed for destroying the duke's family and poisoning her rival Diana, then dies in disgrace. After learning that she is a minor character in a novel, she returns to childhood and vows to avoid every death flag by living differently. Her efforts save the duke's sons and draw the attention of the story's male leads, while the supposedly kind heroine becomes increasingly hostile.
